    The Kuster A-45 is clearly one size bigger compared with her smaller sisters: she invites you to go off-shore frequently. She has well-considered relationships to important line-ups in the interior with respect to sailing the open sea. In that view the Kuster A-45 is the unique ship on which long journeys comfortable can be made. While almost all thinkable equipment can be mounted on board, one could think about lliving permanently on the ship.

     

    With a clearance of 3,10 meters the ship offers a clear passage through almost each European waters. In a word, the Kuster A-45 is your safe “cottage”, which as travelling-companion appears to be your trusty mate!

     

    On Deck

    On deck the Kuster A-45 distinguishes herself by her playful appearance. In the capacity of radiation no detrimental has been made, while inside an optimal personal comfort has been realized. Round about a robust stainless-steel guardrail is mounted. The foredeck with the anchorwinch can easily be reached from the both gangways.

     

    At the steeringdeck a second steering position is created. Sheltered from wind and weather by the sprayhood it is a real pleasure to control the Kuster A-45 from outside: of course with all necessary equipment within direct reach.    

     

    Open Cockpit 

    Against the stern a spacious and deep open cockpit is situated with couches against the side of the steeringdeck, under which the galley and dinette are situated. Seats as well as the cockpit-floor are finished with teak. Beneath the cockpit-floor a fabulous stowage space is created in which things such as bicycles can be safely stored. A large in three parts divided aluminium door with good locking facilities, offers a wide clearance to the galley and dinette. At the same time there is a easy and safe step-on to the both gangways. For mooring facility two large bollards are to one’s easy disposal from out the open-cockpit without the necessity to duck oneself.

     

    Wheelhouse / Main Salon

    A well isolated aluminium sliding-door gives access to the wheelhouse annex main salon. Straight against the centreline of the ship on portside the steering console is located. The helmseat is situated directly behind and mounted safely to the floor but with a lot of adjusting facilities for a perfect seat. From here, one has a clearly view round about the ship and can operate all the instruments of the engine(s) and navigation equipment.

     

    Directly near the main steering position an extra seat has been created complete with charttable and stowage for a variety of seecharts. Against the portside side and the aft-side of the wheelhouse on a raised platform the spacious L-settee is situated at which 6 persons can seat in a very comfortable way. Even under sailing the view from this L-settee is perfect. On starboard near the sliding-door, all electrical installations are located. Switchboards and equipment such as fuse-boxes and tanklevel-indicators are clearly arranged.

     

     Under the wheelhouse floor the well equipped engineroom is situated. By way of a large hatch in the wheelhouse floor the engine room can be easily accessed. Installed is a silent but powerful 6-cylinder Deutz engine with a capacity of 117 HP; more than enough to ensure a good and safe propulsion. All auxiliary equipment is placed in such a way that maintenance can be carried out quick and easily.

     

    Galley

    The galley with dinette which can be accessed by a 5-rungs stair both from out the wheelhouse and from out the open-cockpit, is located at the lowest point of the ship. The galley, which is L-mounted, is located on starboard. The sink, gas stove and gas furnace are placed in an ergonomic way. Many drawers and cupboards are available for stowing provisions and kitchenware. Optional the washing-machine can be placed here. The L-settee of the dinette is placed on portside and provides seat to four persons. An additional cupboard for provisions is available.

     

    Owners Cabin 
    The owners cabin is situated in the fore-part of the ship. A double-berth in the so called French-formation is fitted out with a box-spring and mattress. On portside as well as on starboard large cupboards are placed, both with shelves and hanging wardrobes. A comfortable seat which is situated against the quest cabin provides a comfortable place while changing clothes and provides also a perfect step to the above situated deckhatch. Sufficient daylight can enter the cabin by means of two portholes and two deckhatches.

     

    Guest Cabin

    While descending the wheelhouse to the fore-part of the ship, on portside the guestcabin is located. A large double bed is situated with a box-spring and mattress. In front of the hanging locker there is enough space for changing clothes. Underneath the bed two deep drawers are found. Two portholes and a deckhatch provides sufficient daylight into the guestcabin.

     

    Toilet / Shower

    Opposite to the guestcabin the toilet and separate shower are situated. The toilet room is fitted with a wash-basin and an electrical toilet. The showercabin is fitted out with a safety-glass door and an additional seat. For stowage three cupboards are placed. Two portholes and an easily accessible deckhatch provides sufficient daylight and performs excellent ventilation.
